Dr. Raja Sundaram is a highly rated surgical oncologist in South India and laid the foundation for the establishment of the Sundaram Cancer Centre in Chennai, India. He has successfully conducted more than 15,000 successful cancer surgeries of various complexities. He has more than 27 years of clinical experience. He is currently working as Head and Director at the Global Institute of Oncology. Dr. Rajasundaram completed his MBBS from Madras Medical College in 1991. Later, in 1997, he completed his MS in General Surgery from Madras Medical College. He passed his DNB in General Surgery in 1997. In 2000, he completed M. Ch. (Surgical Oncology) from Cancer Institute, Adyar. Dr. Rajasundaram is the University topper and has been awarded the gold medal. Dr. Rajasundaram is highly proficient in maintaining the critical condition and is an expert in performing laparoscopic surgery, surgery for Gastrointestinal cancer, gynecological surgeries related to oncology and complex thyroid surgeries. He believes in "Early detection saves a life". He is a respectable member of ISO, ASI, ISO, ESMO, AROI, and OGSSI and delivered 200 guest lectures at National and International level. Dr. Rajasundaram has conducted many awareness programs and has many publications in a reputed journal.
