Well versed in latest technology innovations in Neurosurgery and keenly involved in benefiting patients with all the recent advances in Neurosurgery to make surgery/treatment most effective and safe for them. Early adaptor of Deep Brain Stimulation surgery for Parkinsons Disease since late 1990’s , have been driving Navigation and intra op Imaging Technology (Intra Op MRI), with Intra Op Monitoring for safe and effective resection of Gliomas and Pituitary tumors for last 15 years, pioneered use of Endoscopic Neurosurgery from NIMHANS since 1997 for use in various areas like hydrocephalus, endonasal surgeries for pituitary tumors and intraventricular tumors like colloid cysts. Well trained and a keen participant in streotactic treatment modalities like Stereotactic Radiosurgery (including Gamma knife) , Linac based delivery for tumors and also SEEG placements for Epilepsy surgery. Passionate in developing good Neurosurgical centres with all facilities for advanced treatment, and training students and junior colleagues to achieve proficiency in Neurosurgery. Involved in clinical and basic science research especially in Neurooncolgy with over 54 publications and chapters in National and International Journals and books.

• Endoscopic Surgery for Pituitary Tumours / Anterior Skull Base Tumours with Image Guidance and Intraop MRI Imaging
• Endoscopic Minimally Invasive Surgery for Intraventricular Tumours / Colloid Cyst
• Functional Neurosurgery – for Movement Disorders – Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery for Parkinson’s Disease and Dystonias, For Epilepsy – Temporal Lobe Resections, Dysplasia Excisions, For Trigeminal Neuralgia / Hemifacial Spasm – Microvascular Decompression.
