- Seizures or Coma (in severe cases)
- Confusion
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Fluid Retention (causing swelling in your legs, ankles, or feet)
- Kidney Disease or Kidney Failure
- Decreased Urine Output (although occasionally urine output remains normal)
- Weakness
- Chest Pain or Pressure
- Shortness of Breath
- Irregular Heartbeat
Please consult your Kidney Transplant Surgeon whether you need to get a transplant done if your kidneys have failed i.e., you have end-stage renal disease (ESRD). One of the most frequent reasons for this to happen is when a patient is diabetic for a certain period of time. High blood pressure or Hypertension is another of the leading causes of kidney disease which could necessitate a kidney transplant.
The doctor’s operating hours are from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Saturday, Sunday is an off day. You will start to recuperate in a day or two and be home bound within a week.

Types of kidney transplants are also dependent on whether the donor is alive or deceased. A preemptive kidney transplant actually preempts the need for dialysis to come in at all. One must go for regular checkups post the procedure to know if the transplanted kidney is working well..
