This is a surgical procedure to remove leiomyomas. Leiomyomas are also known as uterine fibroids in general terms. Leiomyomas appear in the uterus and are mostly non-cancerous in nature. The uterine fibroids not only appear in the reproductive phase but can also occur at any age.
